Heating up the fight: UK trial tests adding heat to cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06659146

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a special heat treatment to standard palliative radiotherapy helps control advanced cancers that cannot be cured by surgery. It will involve about 60 patients with certain advanced head, neck, skin, or breast cancers. The goal is to see if the heat makes the radiotherapy more effective at shrinking tumors and controlling the disease.
