Warm blankets could cool heart risks for spinal injury patients
NCT ID NCT07317843
Summary
This study is testing whether regular sessions under a special heating blanket can improve blood vessel and heart health in people with spinal cord injuries. About 48 participants will use the blankets at home four times a week for eight weeks, while researchers measure changes in blood flow and artery stiffness. The goal is to see if this simple, home-based heat therapy can become a practical way to help manage the increased cardiovascular risks that often come with spinal cord injury.
