Is your AC setting safe? study tests heat limits on young, active people

NCT ID NCT07267598

Summary

This study aims to find out if the recommended indoor temperature limit of 26°C (79°F) is enough to protect healthy, active young adults from physical strain during a hot day. Researchers will measure body temperature, heart strain, and thinking skills in 10 young adults during an 8-hour session where they sometimes wear extra clothing and do light activity. The goal is to see if current public heat safety advice needs to be updated for this age group.
