First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 12, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study aims to find out if the recommended indoor temperature limit of 26°C (79°F) is safe for healthy, active young adults. Researchers will measure body temperature, heart strain, and thinking skills in 10 young volunteers during an 8-hour day in a warm room. Participants will test two scenarios: resting in light clothes, and doing light exercise while wearing an extra layer, to see if everyday behaviors increase health risks from heat.
