First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how exercising in hot conditions (40°C) affects blood sugar levels in people with type 1 diabetes compared to a normal temperature (20°C). Thirty-eight adults with type 1 diabetes who exercise regularly will do 40 minutes of moderate exercise in both temperatures. Researchers will measure blood sugar changes during and after exercise to better understand how heat impacts glucose use.
