Smartwatch study aims to boost heart rehab from home

NCT ID NCT07322510

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether wearing a medical-grade smartwatch (CardioWatch 287-2) helps people with heart disease stick to a 13-week virtual rehab program and improve their health. About 216 adults in Nova Scotia will either use the watch or not, and researchers will compare things like exercise ability, diet, and quality of life. The goal is to see if remote monitoring can make virtual heart rehab as effective as in-person care.
