Smart heart devices aim to keep patients out of hospital

NCT ID NCT06099158

Summary

This large study in Denmark is testing whether a special alert system in heart devices can help manage heart failure better. Over 1,400 patients with implanted heart devices will be randomly assigned to either have their care guided by remote alerts from the device or to receive their usual medical care. The main goal is to see if the alert system can reduce hospital stays and death by helping doctors act on early warning signs.
