Heart valve patients face blood thinner dilemma: new study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT06901466
Summary
This study aims to find the best blood thinner strategy for patients who have undergone a minimally invasive heart valve repair and also need long-term blood thinners. Researchers will compare different approaches to balance the risks of dangerous bleeding against the risks of stroke and other blood clots. The trial involves 880 patients across multiple medical centers and will track outcomes for one year after the valve repair procedure.
