New device could help doctors monitor heart surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07205341

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a new device called HemoCept can accurately measure blood volume and heart efficiency during aortic valve replacement surgery. Researchers will compare the device's readings with standard heart ultrasound measurements taken before and after the procedure. The goal is to see if this device could eventually help doctors better monitor patients during similar heart surgeries.
