New blood thinner tested for safter recovery after heart surgery
NCT ID NCT07434661
Summary
This study compares two blood-thinning medications for patients who have irregular heartbeat and recently had heart valve surgery. Researchers want to see if a newer medication (apixaban) is as safe and effective as the standard medication (warfarin) during the first three months of recovery. The study will measure bleeding risks, blood clot complications, and patient quality of life.
