Heart scans uncover mystery of valve flaw linked to sudden death
NCT ID NCT06436573
Summary
This study looked back at heart MRI scans from 4,000 people to understand a feature called mitral annular disjunction (MAD). Researchers wanted to see how common MAD is and if it is linked to a floppy heart valve or dangerous irregular heartbeats. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better identify which patients might be at higher risk.
