Massive heart scan study seeks clues to sudden cardiac risk
NCT ID NCT06436573
Summary
This study looked back at heart MRI scans from 4000 people to see how common a specific feature of the mitral valve (called Mitral Annular Disjunction or MAD) really is. Researchers wanted to understand if this feature is just a normal variation or if it is linked to a floppy heart valve and dangerous irregular heartbeats. The goal was to gather better information to help doctors assess patient risk in the future.
