Could a blood fat be making your heart valve worse?

NCT ID NCT06648915

Summary

This study aims to understand if high levels of a specific blood fat called lipoprotein(a) cause a narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis) to worsen faster. Researchers are comparing the progression of the valve disease over time in 364 patients who have either high or low levels of this fat. The goal is to gather information that could help design future treatment trials.
