First-of-its-Kind study tests new heart valve procedure for common birth defect
NCT ID NCT07450196
Summary
This study aims to gather safety and effectiveness data on a specific, minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure for patients in China with a severe form of aortic stenosis caused by a bicuspid aortic valve. It will observe about 170 patients who receive the SAPIEN 3 valve implant to see how well it works and what complications might occur. The goal is to better understand how to treat this challenging heart condition without open-heart surgery.
