First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study will train non-expert staff at GP clinics to perform quick heart ultrasounds on people 65 and older during routine check-ups. The goal is to find heart valve disease and heart failure early, especially in diverse communities where these conditions are often missed. Researchers hope this approach can reduce emergency hospital visits and improve treatment.
