New heart surgery strategy aims to cut major complications
NCT ID NCT03977129
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to decide which clogged heart arteries to fix during planned heart valve surgery. It compares a newer computer-based measurement (QFR) against the standard visual method to guide surgeons. The goal is to see if the newer method can better prevent serious complications like heart attack, stroke, or death in the first month after surgery.
