New machine could save more hearts for transplant

Summary
This study tests a method to preserve hearts from donors after circulatory death using a machine that keeps them cool and oxygenated. The goal is to increase the number of hearts available for transplant. About 20 adults with heart failure who are already on the transplant list will take part. Researchers will check how well patients survive and how their new hearts work after the transplant.
