Cooler showdown: can a new device better protect transplant hearts?
NCT ID NCT07354763
Summary
This study aims to find out if a new adjustable cooler is as good as or better than the current standard device for keeping donor hearts cold and safe during transport for a transplant. Researchers will compare the two devices in 80 adults receiving a heart transplant. They will check which device leads to fewer cases of the new heart struggling to work right after surgery.
