Scientists hunt for simple blood test to spot transplant rejection

NCT ID NCT00042614

Summary

This study aimed to find better ways to detect when a body rejects a transplanted heart. Researchers looked for genetic and protein markers in blood and urine that could signal rejection earlier than current invasive methods. The study involved 188 people, including heart transplant patients, those waiting for transplants, and healthy volunteers for comparison.
