New hope to save kidneys after heart transplant

NCT ID NCT04180085

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called belatacept can help protect the kidneys of heart transplant patients. Standard anti-rejection drugs can damage kidneys over time. Researchers want to see if using belatacept can reduce this kidney damage without increasing the risk of the body rejecting the new heart.
