Massive study tracks 100,000 heart transplants to see if new device improves survival

Summary
This study is creating a large national registry to track the long-term results of heart transplants that use a specific organ-preserving device called the OCS Heart System. It will follow up to 100,000 patients for five years after their transplant to see if survival rates are better compared to transplants using the standard cold storage method. The goal is to understand how well this device works in real-world use after its FDA approval.
