Heart transplant study reveals how data shapes doctor decisions
NCT ID NCT04455893
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how heart transplant doctors judge hospitals based on their donor acceptance rates. 72 clinical transplant staff were shown different data tables and asked to pick which hospital they thought performed better. The goal was to see if showing how often a hospital rejects donor hearts changes how doctors view that hospital's quality.
