Early heart scan may buy time for kidney patients after heart attack

NCT ID NCT07474441

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to see if getting a heart artery imaging test (coronary angiography) soon after a heart attack was linked to better outcomes for people who also had severe kidney disease. Researchers analyzed data from 139 patients to see if early testing was associated with living longer and delaying the need to start dialysis. The goal was to gather knowledge to help guide future care decisions for this high-risk group.
