New heart scan aims to better predict dangerous side effects
NCT ID NCT07270211
Summary
This study aims to see if a new type of heart scan called magnetocardiography (MCG) is better than the standard ECG at predicting which patients with a specific heart rhythm condition (Long QT syndrome) can safely take the medication dofetilide. Researchers will enroll 100 adults with atrial fibrillation who are starting this medication in the hospital. The study will compare how well each test predicts safe medication use and measure differences in a key heart timing interval.
