Better heart scans sought for cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT02106611

Summary

This study aimed to find better ways to detect heart damage in people who survived Hodgkin lymphoma after receiving chest radiation treatment. Researchers compared two heart tests—a cardiac MRI and a stress echocardiogram—to see which one was more effective at spotting early heart problems. The study involved 133 adult survivors who were at least five years past their cancer treatment.
