Summary

This study aimed to understand if keeping a patient's lungs gently inflated during heart surgery affects a key measurement of kidney health. Researchers compared two different breathing techniques in 60 adults undergoing planned heart bypass surgery. The goal was to gather information to help prevent serious kidney problems after surgery.
