Heart procedure before or after surgery? trial aims to find safer order
NCT ID NCT07175870
Summary
This study aims to determine whether it's safer for patients with clogged heart arteries to have their artery-opening procedure before or after they undergo other planned, time-sensitive surgeries like cancer operations. Researchers will compare two approaches in 140 patients: doing the heart procedure first versus doing the other surgery first. The main goal is to see if the 'surgery-first' approach is just as safe as the traditional 'heart-procedure-first' method in preventing major heart problems.
