Summary

This study looks at 160 people with heart failure who are scheduled for coronary artery bypass surgery. Researchers want to see if a blood marker called GDF-15 can help predict serious heart events like heart attack or stroke in the year after surgery. Participants will be followed for 12 months with one in-person visit or phone check-ins.
