Less invasive heart surgery may spare lung and muscle function

NCT ID NCT07172529

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at 40 adults having heart surgery to see if a less invasive method (mini-incision) helps preserve breathing and muscle strength better than traditional open-chest surgery. Participants will have lung function, muscle strength, and walking tests before and after surgery. The goal is to understand recovery differences, not to test a new treatment.
