Smaller heart surgery incisions: do they lead to faster recovery?
NCT ID NCT07172529
Summary
This study aims to understand if a newer, less invasive type of heart surgery helps patients recover their strength and breathing better than the traditional method. Researchers will observe 40 adults having heart bypass surgery, comparing those who get a smaller chest incision to those who get the standard larger one. They will measure patients' muscle strength, breathing ability, and walking capacity before and after surgery to see which approach leads to better short-term recovery.
