New device could give surgeons Real-Time blood flow map during risky child heart operations
NCT ID NCT07361523
Summary
This study is testing a handheld device that uses light to measure blood and oxygen levels in the heart and liver during complex heart surgeries on children. The goal is to see if this real-time information helps surgeons make better decisions during the operation, which could lead to fewer complications and better recovery. The study will enroll 50 children over 1 year old undergoing surgery for congenital heart disease at Boston Children's Hospital.
