Summary
This study tested a special blood filter called Efferon LPS during heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. The goal was to see if removing harmful substances from the blood could prevent multiple organ failure, especially kidney damage, after surgery. The trial was terminated early and only included 14 planned participants.
