First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested two different solutions used to protect the heart during bypass surgery. 124 adults having coronary artery bypass grafting received either a modified Del Nido solution or an HTK solution. The main goal was to see which solution led to fewer abnormal heart rhythms after the heart was restarted. Researchers also checked heart damage markers and heart function after surgery.
