Scientists hunt for blood clue to Post-Surgery brain fog
NCT ID NCT07231731
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some patients experience memory and thinking problems after heart bypass surgery. Researchers followed 48 older patients to see if changes in a specific blood molecule (microRNA-151-5p) and body-wide inflammation were linked to these cognitive changes. The goal was to find potential early warning signs that could help future diagnosis and treatment.
