Boston researchers probe hidden cause of dangerous heart surgery clots

Summary
This study aims to understand why some patients develop abnormal blood clots during and after heart surgery. Researchers will examine immune cells and inflammatory signals in 100 patients of all ages undergoing complex cardiac procedures. The goal is to identify potential causes of clotting complications that current tests cannot predict.
