Could robotic surgery overload a weak heart?

NCT ID NCT06336746

Summary

This study aims to understand how robotic surgery, which often requires patients to be tilted steeply head-down, affects heart function. Researchers will monitor 80 patients, some with normal hearts and some with heart failure, during their operations. The goal is to identify which patients might be at risk for dangerous heart strain from the surgical positioning.
