Doctors test new way to gauge Heart's power during operations

NCT ID NCT04726852

Summary

This study aimed to see if a new, simpler method for measuring how strongly the heart squeezes (using a blood pressure line) gives results similar to the current, more complex method (using an ultrasound probe in the throat). It involved 43 adults having planned heart surgery. The goal was to check if the new method is reliable so doctors might use it more easily in the future.
