Race to save hearts: stents challenge bypass surgery in major trial

Summary
This study aims to find out if a less invasive procedure using stents (PCI) is as safe and effective as traditional open-heart bypass surgery (CABG) for people having a serious type of heart attack warning. It will enroll 1000 adults with multiple clogged heart arteries. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the stent procedure or bypass surgery, and their health will be closely followed for one year.
