Heart study aims to ditch problematic drug for stent checks

NCT ID NCT06273293

Summary

This study is testing a new, simpler way to measure blood flow in heart arteries after a stent procedure for patients with multiple blockages. The goal is to see if using a common heart medication (nitroglycerin) instead of a drug that can cause side effects (adenosine) gives equally good results. Researchers will follow 150 patients for one year to see if the new measurement method can predict future heart problems.
