Heart patients too sick for surgery: can stents save them?
NCT ID NCT02996877
Summary
This study followed 750 patients with severe heart artery blockages who were considered too high-risk for traditional bypass surgery. Researchers tracked their health for a year to compare outcomes between those who received artery-opening stent procedures and those who received medication only. The goal was to gather real-world evidence on the best way to manage these complex cases.
