Dissolving heart stent tested in key artery junctions
NCT ID NCT03027856
Summary
This small pilot study tested a new type of heart stent made of magnesium that dissolves over time. It was used in 20 patients with blockages where a heart artery splits into two branches. The main goal was to see if placing this dissolving stent in these tricky spots was safe and practical, with patients followed for up to 5 years.
