Heart stent patients test simpler, gentler drug regimen
NCT ID NCT06916520
Summary
This study is testing if using just one blood-thinning drug at a lower dose is a safe and effective option for patients after a heart stent procedure. It aims to see if this simpler approach can prevent future heart problems while reducing the risk of bleeding, which is a common side effect of the standard two-drug therapy. The trial will involve 300 patients who have had a stent placed for either a sudden or long-term heart condition.
