Double-Duty heart pill trial aims to slash future cardiac crises

NCT ID NCT05782777

Summary

This study is testing if a two-drug cholesterol-lowering combination works better than the standard single drug to prevent future heart attacks, strokes, or death in people who have had a stent placed. It will enroll over 4,300 adults who recently received a new type of drug-coated heart stent. The goal is to see if the combination therapy provides stronger, long-term protection against serious heart problems.
