Researchers track why heart stents fail years later
NCT ID NCT07473596
Summary
This study aimed to learn how often and why stents re-narrow years after being placed to open a completely blocked heart artery. Researchers followed 294 patients for at least three years after their procedure, using heart scans to check the stents. The goal was to identify which patient or procedure factors increase the risk of the stent becoming blocked again.
