New heart scans aim to predict who does best after valve procedure

NCT ID NCT07179302

Summary

This study tested whether two advanced heart scan techniques could better predict how patients do after a TAVI procedure to replace a narrowed aortic valve. Researchers followed 100 patients with severe aortic stenosis to see if these scans could more accurately forecast risks like future hospital stays, heart attacks, or strokes. The goal was to help doctors make more personalized decisions about who might benefit most from the valve replacement.
