Doctors test which heart scan is better for Life-or-Death decisions

NCT ID NCT06272643

Summary

This study compares two advanced imaging techniques—IVUS and OCT—to see which one gives doctors better information about blockages in the heart's main artery. Researchers enrolled 153 patients with moderate artery narrowing to see if the scans agree on measurements and if one scan can better predict future heart problems. The goal is to help doctors decide when a patient needs a procedure to open the artery versus when to continue with medication.
