Heart scan study aims to perfect timing for valve surgery
NCT ID NCT07366723
Summary
This study is testing whether a detailed heart MRI scan can help doctors make better decisions about when to perform surgery for a severely leaky mitral valve. It will compare decisions made with the MRI information to standard care using ultrasound scans alone. The goal is to see if using the MRI leads to better long-term heart health and fewer complications for patients.
