Summary
This study aims to understand if leg surgery puts hidden stress on the heart. Researchers will monitor a specific blood marker (troponin) in 54 patients before, during, and after their below-knee operations, which use nerve blocks for anesthesia. The goal is to see how often and why heart muscle injury might occur during these common procedures.
