Blood test may predict future heart trouble after stents

NCT ID NCT07197242

Summary

This study aims to see if measuring a specific fat-protein in the blood (called Lipoprotein(a)) can help predict who is at higher risk for future heart problems after getting an elective stent. Researchers will follow 156 patients for two years after their procedure to track any major heart-related events. The goal is to gather knowledge to improve future risk assessment, not to test a new treatment.
