New heart procedure trial aims to control dangerous rhythm in heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT07385417
Summary
This study is testing if a heart procedure is better than standard medication for managing atrial fibrillation (AFib) in people with a specific type of heart failure. It will enroll 200 participants who have both conditions. Half will receive a one-time procedure to electrically isolate the problematic heart veins, while the other half will receive standard drug therapy, to see which approach better prevents serious heart-related hospitalizations and events.
